I've been obsessed with aquariums and fish since I was about 10. Eventually, I managed to talk my parents into letting me have a 20 gallon and thus started my journey into the hobby!

At 19, I enlisted in the US Navy and had to put my hobby on hold for almost 5 years, given they don't usually allow tanks on an aircraft carrier. Once I was discharged, I decided to start a 75 gallon aquarium with a semi-aggressive community. This is where I learned of my interest in aquascaping and planted aquariums. I went all in on CO2 and lighting, researching how it interacts with the water parameters and plant growth.

I created this business with the goal of providing other hobbyists with the tools and equipment to succeed. Over the years, I would order an item just to find out it is subpar in quality and/or function. I aim to remove this frustration with products that do what they say and look good as well!
